Hi Elizabeth,
What I mean is the work we are doing is an adventure in research which leads us on various “journeys” or “paths”; like the journeys by ship to China, Syria and other destinations with their stops along the way. Each new piece of research fits together a greater part of the puzzle of what was happening. Ours is a metaphorical adventure/journey following the paths of the document holders through our research. I hope that makes sense.
